OPEN CALL FOR APPLICATIONS | PIERROT'27

OPEN CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
IPTF "Pierrot" 2027 | Intersections

15th Edition of the International Puppet Theatre for Adults Festival "Pierrot" will take place from 23 to 29 September 2027 in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. The theme of this edition is “Intersections”.
We are looking for performances and stage forms for adult audiences that expand the understanding of contemporary puppet theatre and explore the boundaries between puppetry, object theatre, visual theatre, physical theatre, and interdisciplinary performing arts practices.

At a time when public discourse is increasingly fragmented by opposing viewpoints, we turn our attention to theatre forms that create space for a more complex, sensitive, and human dialogue. With the theme “Intersections,” we invite performances that do not offer easy answers, but instead open up possibilities for encounters between perspectives, languages, cultures, and human experiences.

The open call is addressed to professional theatres, independent companies, and artistic collectives from Bulgaria and abroad.
