PRO RODOPI ART CENTRE – BOSTINA, BULGARIA

Pro Rodopi Art Centre is an independent performing art residency based in the rural area of Rhodopes mountains (Bostina). It is a unique initiative for Bulgaria and the Balkans, first of its kind. The Center produces theatrical and dance performances and organizes International Theatrе Festival for Children and Youths "FORBIDDEN FOR GROWN-UPS".

Pro Rodopi Art Centre develops its activity in an informal network of international organizations and art practitioners.

The project has been recognized by the Municipality of Smolyan as a priority for the development of the region.

“Ball” (part 3) is dedicated to the connection between Humans and Mother Earth. It carries a simple and universal message to people all around the Globe. “Ball” (part 3) is a sequel from the series of theatre projects with the same name directed by Petar Todorov and realized by artists from different countries. It is inspired by the rhythm of Ravel’s “Bolero”.
A sole-survivor female warrior drags the remains of her world, which she, herself destroyed, with her. Will she manage to build it anew?
